I have been looking for ways to improve my game. I am a beginner and this app clearly explains how to play each card, how to bet and why. Cant wait to learn more and turn it into dollars at the tables.

You will begin to think about your own play differently and that will make you a better player immediately and a year from now who knows you may even be on Club WPT tv. One thing is for sure youll be a better player having more fun watching your stack grow. :-)

The app is great for practice and training as it gives you the Why on the correct way to play particular training hand.

At least it clarified a few plays for me!

Lots of good stuff here. However, one module says that people just learning about implied odds use it to justify making bad calls, then immediately follows with the statement: "on average you are going to win more than enough chips to make up the difference between the pot odds you should be getting to make the call" If, on average I will win more than enough chips, that sounds like I should use implied odds every time. I dont know if this was a typo, bad editing, or I just dont get what hes saying. It sounds like, if you take the sentence by itself, that its telling you implied odds work out in those good implied odds situations because you get more than enough return, on average. But when you put that sentence directly after saying not all hands have good implied odds, it sounds like its saying "but dont worry about that, because on average youll get more than enough chips to make up for it". There is a comment section in the app where I tried to post this for clarification. When I clicked submit, the whole app froze up and I had to restart. Confusion and glitchy app = 2 stars.

This seems like a good app to learn poker and how to play better. I send the $20 on the combo pack and feel it was expensive for what you get. I went through all six packs the first night. Seems like it should last longer than that. Pack sequences are all the same so you go through one and basically memorize the plays, even if you dont fully understand why you are supposed to play that way. Some of the descriptions are vague, some as detailed. All in all a good app, but 4 stars for being expensive.

I have used many poker apps to help improve my game and by far WPT Trainer is the best. It has great information with clear explanations. It also gets your brain thinking on poker strategy. I would even recommend this app to my 6 year old kid...
